Introducing Tic Tac Joe Games

We're a dad and his kids who take board games very seriously – and not seriously at all.

We love strategy, storytelling, and the kind of fun that makes you forget you're tired. So we made some games. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Tic Tac Takeover board game box packaging – 4D strategy game for ages 8 and up

Tic Tac Takeover

Tic tac toe just got a serious upgrade. Tic Tac Takeover is a two-player strategy game played on a 4×4×4 board – that's three dimensions, plus time. Using Time Tiles, you can remove or replace pieces (yours or your opponent's) to shift the game in an instant. Get four in a row to win.

Takeover Express

Takeover Express turns noughts and crosses into a fast-moving card game where collaboration can flip to chaos in seconds. Each turn has three phases: Draw a Card, Place a Piece, Play a Card.

Win by getting three pieces in a row or collect four Major Hazard Cards. Either way, no one sees it coming.

  • This is a key part of the game. Once someone has played the game, they understand how the cascade works.

  • Absolutely!

Stay tuned and get on our mailing list. I don’t know if we’re going to sell any of our games, but we will have a Victorian and an Australian Takeover Champion crowned this year! And a junior competition as well

  • Yep. The ideas for Tic Tac Joe Games have entirely come from the kids. Simple childhood curiosity led us here.

  • The kids dared me to include this… so here we are

  • We think this is going to come down to personal or family preference. If introducing the game, playing with 8 pieces each (time tiles 1-16) this gives a good feel for the game. Almost no games have gone beyond 32 turns when we product tested the game, so it has become standard that ‘X’ uses odd numbers 1-31 and ‘O’ uses even numbers 2-32.
